Saturday September 24, 2016 for the 9th Annual Isabella Santos Foundation 5k/10K for Kids Cancer. This has become a family favorite event in Charlotte and a great way to spend your morning curing cancer! There will be a 5k and 10k course, along with a one mile fun run. In addition to our running options, your kids can hang out in the kids zone while you browse and shop the amazing silent auction and raflle options on site! Hope you can join our community and show cancer that it messed with the wrong city. The Isabella Santos Foundation is a 501c3 based in Charlotte, NC and has donated over 1 million dollars to Neuroblastoma research and other local organizations that help families fighting pediatric cancer. Isabella had three wishes for a world with no more cancer. 1. Beat Cancer 2. Grow Hair 3. Live My Dreams. We hope you will come out and help honor her legacy and memory by contining our fight.

For this year’s 5K/10K, we are requested to paint the town PURPLE again! They want to see your craziest, zaniest, most purpilicious gear on race day. Wear everything purple. Purple knee high socks, purple tutus, purple wigs, purple painted faces. If you can dream it up, we want to see it. They want to be jogging along, look up, and see a sea of purple. Show the world that YOU support finding a cure for pediatric cancer.

Spread the word, let’s make 2016 the biggest event yet!

When~ September 10. 9:00am
Where~  McAlpine Creek Park
What~a great run/walk that benefits some amazing kids!
Besides the 5K, be sure to stick around and join us for the awards presentation, lunch, music, and a special memorial presentation which is almost always followed by some serious dancing!  No doubt it’ll be a fun day that you’ll go home and tell your friends about…or just bring them with you!

The course is not a road course like most runs in the Charlotte area.  This is a cross country course, which is primarily on a dirt packed road, but does turn into a difficult trail run a one point.  The full 5K course is not stroller friendly, but we will offer an optional stroller only shortcut. However, this means you’ll come up a bit short of the 5K.  Check out the course map HERE!
